91 4runner rear suspension question

I recently installed a trailmaster 4" lift on the front of my 4runner along with a 3 1/2 inch downey HD kit on the rear. (1 1/2 spacers and 1 1/2 lift HD coils). The front sits perfect to clear 33x12.5 tires but the rear is low. I am about 14.5" fender to the top of the wheel. The downey installation instructions say a spring compressor will be needed when using the spacers and the springs, but when I installed them they slid right into place. No hammering, bending, or prying. Is this normal. The HD springs were the same length as the factory coils I took off. I know they are probably stiffer, but why is the rear so low. Is there anything I can do to lift it a bit more aside from leaf springs or 3 linking it. Thanks, Joe

Depends on how they measure... ALL second gens have "saggy ass". It takes 1-1/2" lift over what you have to just level it out (I have Eibach 1-1/2" springs on mine). I would say you ended up with 1/2 to 1" of real lift if I remember my heights correctly.

I would recommend pulling the spacers and springs and getting your money back to apply to 4" lift springs (without spacers). There are a variety of options - seems like people are having best luck with landcruiser coils - do a search on that or LC coils - there's a HUGE thread on it.

up....I say do the same....LC coils and you should be able to pick some up from slee for about $60 then just adjust the tbars to do any other leveling. which shouldn't be much if any

I got my landcruiser coils here.

I am setting at 16 inches fender to rim lip with just the springs. I used two long sides.
