i decided to sell my '91 Toyota. an interested buyer came to look at it today and expressed concern over the noise that the engine made. the noise/tick/click/whatever is only heard the instant that the gas pedal is depressed. there is no sound at idle or once you get going or hold the rpm's. i've read about noisy injectors and such, but was hoping that maybe w/ a sound clip; the experts here might be able to help me diagnose it better.

 

Sounds like a leaking exhaust gasket. Probably between the manifold & downpipe.
