Another 3.0 needs help guys!!!!
Alright so my runners been sitting with no motor for the last 4/5 years got tired of my coworkers calling it the 4sitter. So I bought a 95 3vz outta a 4Runner and slapped it in the other day,I finished the harness hooked up a battery to to make sure everything turned on since the motor has the harness still on it when I got it.
While on Clist I fount a set of headers for $75 bucks went out and got them, while installing them my dad was making fun of the rats nest vaccum hoses so we did a egr/reed valve delete and blocked of the hole in the intake and plugged all the unnecessary vaccum lines.
Now I go to crank the motor it turns over I get it to fire up and run dose a high revs and then dies, what could happen low gas gage light was on so I put a gallon of fuel in just to make sure and dose the same thing.
I checked the codes and I'm only getting 21 22 and 27 witch are the O2 sensors and a water temperature sensors.
I could use some help oh and it's a 94 4Runner 3.0 5speed 4x4
Thanks in advance guys

Do you have the air intake hooked up all the way back through the VAFM? If no air is going through the VAFM, the fuel pump won't keep running once you release the key from start, and the engine will die immediately. You can bypass that by jumpering Fp to B+ in the diag connector to force the fuel pump to run all the time when the key is on. If that fixes your problem, then the issue is definitely in the VAFM/Circuit Opening Relay area. That's a safety feature to cut off fuel in case of an accident that kills the engine but would otherwise leave the fuel pump running.
