Well wound up with a new denso reman. I considered just rebuilding it myself, but they wanted 140 just for the rectifier.

Anyways, I'm on to a new problem. The brand new oil pump that came in the engnbldr kit was bad. It has a small pin hole in a grove on the bottom right, so now I get to go drop another 90 today on a new oil pump.

 

One last update for now, the truck Is running good and leak free. I'll try to post a picture of the pin hole In the oil pump, it is some sort of casting error. Plus the oil seal in that pump was a piece of crap.

 

That sucks.I just ordered engnbldr's 4 piece front end kit for my head/headgasket/timing build. I hope mine doesn't have that flaw. If you get a chance post up a good pic of where to look for the flaw so I can look mine over before the install. I kept hearing good things about his parts so I bought them,and now I'm hearing issues with some of them (just bought a oem headgasket to replace the one in his headgasket kit). He seams like an honest guy and let's face it, mass produced parts are gonna have a flaw every now and then,so I'm still gonna guy my head and cam from him.

 

I personally have nothing but great things to say about him. He was very helpful with all of my questions regarding my tc job. I know that mass produced Chinese parts will have flaws, so the fact that I happened to get one dosent reflect on my opinion of engnbldr or his business. All of the other parts received in the FEK were great. I do plan to email him to let him know, only because I think its important for him to recieve this kind of feedback. I have a picture on my phone but it may be a little grainy, so ill try to get one with my.digital camera tomorrow and.post it up.
