alternator belt extremely irritating

I have tightened my alternator belt 3 times, each time after about a hundred miles it starts squeeling again. Whats up? Did I buy the wrong belt?

Maybe the bolts are working loose? I use a crowbar against the alternator to get my belt really tight.

thats probably the problem, I also use a crowbar to get it super tight so the bolt's gotta be the culprit. I'll go buy one later today.

You could also try some Loc-Tite on the bolt you have.

on my high quality rebuild altenator the threads stripped out just enough that it wouldn't hold torque on that upper mount. So, I just put a longer bolt in and put a nut on the back side and haven't had a problem since.
