Almost but not running yet!

Okay everyone here has helped me alot. Here's a little history. I bought this 1988 toyota 4x4 pickup 5 months ago. My first toyota. It has a 3.0 and the head gasket was blown with 215,000 miles gave $400 for it. It had sat for 6 yrs. the engine wiring harness was completely destroyed by rat's. So I begain taking everything apart. I found this website and it's been a lot of help. Since rebuilding: new wirining harness, piston's,crank polished, heads reworked, injectors re-done by witch hunter, new clutch, and new tps. I think I might have a problem with the afm if I operate it manually it will idle and rev fine but on it's own the engine will not idle at all with out pating the accelerator. Is there any way to make adjustments on the afm.

The engine should be operating fine without adjusting the AFM. There is a way to adjust it, but it requires popping off the upper cover. This adjustment is only for when the engine is running good, not to make it run good. I would look at other reasons why its not running right, like a vacuum leak or other problems.

Thank's DC. I've checked all the vacuum lines and they seem to be fine I replaced all with new lines when I put it bak together. I'm not sure what to do next.
