Aisin Hub Problem
Regreased my manual hub today and I am pretty sure all the springs are right and everything. I have looked at the posts on here and read but is there any other reason why it wont engage the cv axel. thanks i figure it is just the spring is not quite right but would like a second opinion

A slight coating on everything is all that is needed otherwise it gets suction and sticks in/out.
Also make sure you did not put the big spring in upside down. The flat part sits on the pawl NOT the hub dial/face.

Me, but then again I've been playing around in the guts of other brands of manual hubs for years. Wait until you think you got it whipped & then you try to engage them in below freezing temps. I used to thin my grease with WD-40 so it was a little more fluid back in the day but I learned to just lightly grease them & all is well.

The setting just has to match the dial, there is only one large spring to deal with as long as you don't take the face of the dial off to expose the second small spring with the tiny ball bearing. It's painfully simple to do really & even if you had never seen one before you could figure out how it went back together by looking at it.
