Air Intake ?

Air Intake ?
So I was wondering if I have any other options that the K&N intake kit that is about $250. This stock air intake looks pretty complicated and restricting. Not to mention there around a million little hoses and wires, that I'm sure are important to the proper function of the vehicle, which are preventing my own intake fabrication project. Any ideas yota gurus?
