thinking about putting rancho 9000s on my 89 3.0L pu (as well as air lockers eventually...) and am just wondering about air compressor mounting locations.

I know a lot of people have removed their A/C and used the existing belt to drive a compressor, but alas I have no A/C so this option is unavailable to me.

Anyone have ideas or pics of mounting locations for a compressor? If electrical, was it done with just a single battery set-up?

 

Mine is on the DS fender. About the only place under the hood to mount one with a 3.0. It's the larger ARB compressor and it's about all you can fit. I just have a single battery, but I always have the truck running when the compressor is on.



If you want a bigger compressor, about the only option is to put it in the bed...
