ahh joy.....clutch leak and code 5

Well the rubber part of my clutch line was melting slowly agaist my starter, and now its sprung a leak. i tried duct tape and hose clamps but it only worked for about a day. anybody know if theres an effective way to repair it? or if not, do I need to find a whole new line or can I just replace the rubber part?

and ive been getting intermittent code 5's. I only get the light sometimes when im cruising at a steady RPM for a little while. it goes off when i return to idle. shes also running really rich as well. exhaust smells super strong and im only getting 15-16 mpg. anyone know what might cause this, or what I should troubleshoot?

Sounds like a new rubber line to the slave cylinder is in order. Usually an old front brake hose (e.g. you upgraded to s/s brake hoses and kept the old rubber hoses) will fit or we make a s/s version:

Code 5 is the O2 sensor:

If it is of unknown age or condition, not that expensive to replace:

And make sure the wiring is in good shape, insulation not melted against the exhaust manifold, etc.
