Advice on 22RE head

I've been a lurker here for sometime and learned quite a bit. I have a 92 pickup and I was taking on a headgasket replacement. Everything was going fine until I took a look at the head.

This is above #3 and #4 by the exhaust manifold.

This is a close up of the coolant passage on 3.

I've spent most of today going from Pick n Pull to Pick n Pull looking for a replacement head and nothing. Found a 85 22R dated Fed/85 and I thought I had read that this would not fit correctly on to my block. Just wondering if there was anything I could do to repair this or if it's a lost cause and I should keep searching for a new head. Thanks.

i don't know anything about TOYOTA CAR PARTS...but I do know ENGNBLDR and he's a good man.

almost looks like some gasket-in-a-bottle had been used to temp-repair a bad head.
