"Adventure" Truck Color?
So, the style of truck I am going for is more of an "adventure" type, rather than crawler or prerunner, etc. ala Camel Trophy Rovers.
Anyway, I can't decide on a color. To me, the best 2 choices are tan (sandglow is the name of the rover color), or green (an olive-ish tone)
Either one is going to get a blacked out hood, brushwires, etc. to go with the theme.
So... what ya think? Either way, I'm gonna be doing one of the "$50" roll-on paint jobs.
Here's an example of the sandglow:

The green color I was thinking of (I can't seem to find a pic) is about the same shade as olive drab (camo green) but not flat. Either color will be a shiny finish, rather than "primer" flat.
I actually want the truck to look pretty nice, the body is totally straight and rust free, (not bad for 230k miles!).
The existing paint is just pretty dead, and since I was going to paint it anyway, I thought a new color would be fun. Its the classic 80's gray/silver right now.

I'm leaning towards tan/black combo.
I have 31's at the moment, but I agree that the tall skinny mud tire is the way to go for the look. Too bad the 31's are almost new. Maybe I can find someone to trade me for some cool looking steel wheels with the tires I want....

If you like Tan, have you seen the new FJ Tan color. It's the first one I've seen like it. It reminds me of the old tan Toyota used to have. I'll try and take a pick tomorrow.

that is a nice looking fj! ill have to keep my eyes open for one in my neck of the woods. the burgundy ones seem to be sort of rare around here, lots of blues and yellows with about double the amount of silvers.
