Adding a second row of bucket seats to extra cab

I just got an 88 extra cab and I want to chop the back and but either a bench seat or two bucket seats in the bed. And make a little additional removable top for the back. I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if they would post some pics as to where to start on it.

Look up the "waltkthrough cabs" thread on pirate4x4 - there are some good pics of what others have done. IIRC you may need to chop into the bed's floor to lower the height of rear passengers. That or find a very low profile seat and mounting option.

There's a funny comment in that thread regarding truck owners making their rig into basically 4runners with extra seating and 4runner owners trying to convert to pickups by chopping the tops off. Go figure

I know I have a 94 4runner sas'd but my 88 extra cab has a 2.7 swap and an arb in the rear and an elocker in the front so I'm getting rid of the runner and was thinking about trying this in the extra cab

just one guys opinion, sounds like a waste of a perfectly good pickup to me. They already make exactly what you want from factory. Find someone who wants to trade.
