add-a-leafs on 88 4runner
Hey yall, i am getting ready to replace the seals on the axle and was thinking about fixin the sag with some add-a-leafs. i was wondering which brand is recommended, and are there any issues with add-a-leafs that i should be aware of? thanks in advance.

Depends on how sagged your OE springs are, AAL didn't do much for me, only barely got the pack off of the overload. Flexed like crap, and rode worse.. for me at least. I ended up doing my own ZUK mod, then later went with 63s. Night and Day
New springs, ZUK mod, 63" Chevys, 57" Fords are all better options IMHO

The Rancho Soft-Ride AALs are a good option, too:

What you want to avoid with AALs are ones with a single short, thick (stiff) leaf. Those can cause the existing leaves to get stressed and bent over the end of the stiff AAL and that can damage the rest of the spring pack. So you want to use an AAL that is not much thicker than the rest of the leaves. The Rancho kit is nice in that it comes with a longer and shorter leaf that you can mix-n-match with the existing leaves to get the ride height and quality you are looking for.
