Add Deaver springs to stock leaf pack?

Hey guys, I can't seem to find any info on the web for this swap. I found a cheap used pair of f67 Deavers and I was thinking about pulling both the Deavers and my stock leaf packs apart and making a frankenstein leaf pack with the stock mainspring and as many Deavers as possible. This would eliminate the "diving boards" and all the other stock springs with the exception of the main spring. I would then piece together a pack using the smaller Deaver springs and the stock Toyota main spring.

Am I crazy or is this possible? It would give me a few more inches of downtravel and a few inches of lift, thats all I'm really looking for. The stock 2WD Toyota springs in the rear are 2 1/2 and so are the Deavers.

And before you say it, I know there i an AAL out there but I am already running one by Fabtech. I also think that replacing the stock springs with more than just one Deaver could create MORE downtravel that use of a standalone AAL.

Thanks guys

i have never heard of anyone doing it but you could always try it. if you dont want to guinea pig your truck like that, look into getting the deaver prerunner add a leaf pack. i had them and they worked pretty good in conjunction with my downey lift shackles. i was able to get just under 12'' of travel with that setup. if you dont know what they are, its a 3 leaf pack that replaces your factory overload. it gave me about 1'' of lift but it rode a lot smoother then the other add a leafs i had.
