since i put the new 3rd member in without the tone ring the abs does not work.its been this way for 3 yrs without any problems and has even gone thru state inspection without any problems.(the abs lite has never come on)the other day i stupidly decided to cut the wires going to the sensor on top of the rear housing to tidy things up a bit.i cut the wires right at the sensor and there is no way to resplice them.
problem is now the abs lite is on and i dont think inspection will pass me with it on.i tried twisting the wires together in hope that the lite would go out but it didnt.
is there any way to get the light out?
taking the dash apart to remove the bulb looks difficult on my rig 94 4runner

 

what state are you in? in PA the ABS light on will not fail inspection as it is not a state inspection item.
