I'm guessing both sides are in the same predicament...
so, dremel as much of the plastic off of the support as you can without loosing the whole support in order to make the grill rest back in its stock position.
if you have to cut those supports off, dremel off the back side of the grill so that it doesn't vibrate against the lights.

maybe something along this line (see the magenta line?):

or move the lights closer to center a little bit.

IMHO, you dont really need those supports, at least not all of them...
my grill is just being held on by the 4 screws that hold the corner markers on... and it doesnt rattle at all...

tomorrow i get outta school at noon, then have to work at 4.
Short window.

But as for the passenger side, i accidently cut off the whole mount.
Driver side is good, and the stupid hood actually shuts all the way now

Spacejunk, Thats what i wanted to hear from anyone.
Only thing is my marker light clips are spent, ill be getting some soon
im just glad i finally got them adjusted, the grille looks like itll stay in place

I just got done putting my grille back on and I can say that I'd have no problem eliminating one or two of them for that purpose. There's so many other mounting points and other ways to rig it up stable that it wouldn't stop me from doing it.
