a340h trans problems

a340h trans problems
i have a 1987 toyota pick up 4x4 ext cab 22re motor a340h auto trans floor shift
when i try to shift it into reverse its like the gear isnt even there and when i shift it into neutral it will drive, i replaced all three shift syleniods and still the same thing, what could be the problem?????
