You may get better results if you post in the 3rd gen 4Runner section or maybe the mods will move it.
Also, I see 99 4Runner...which engine? Recent work? Any work? Basic maintenance? Runs normal otherwise? Maf's been cleaned?

Ask if a mod can move this thread to 95.5-2004 Tacomas & 96-2002 4Runners if you'd like better response. Get the thread title changed to reflect the initial problem as '99 4Runner' is awfully generic.

So far we have 99 4Runner 3.4 with hesitation or stall in an unknown beginning scenario when stomping on the gas and it's happened at least one time.
We don't otherwise know anything pertinent about this truck and like I tell the kids at school, I'm fresh out of mindreading.
