your going to need at least a 6 inch lift. i went 5 and had an existing body lift on the truck that i left there. two inch if i remember right. and i can still get my steering arm into my pan.... no i did no mods to this pan. i ran a bump stop on one side is all needed and still gives a ton of flex. but as much as i do not like body lifts i would do one as well. and get your 4bt as close to the hood as posible...... does yours have the water over air or just air intercooler?

Mine is a 88 so no intercooler I have one my step dad gave me but idk where I'm going to stuff it
I have a 95 2wd reg cab that's been sased but its stock height for now I want to keep it lower so I thing I'm going to do major pan surgury and a cowl hood maybe I want it to sit some what low with the 36s that are going on it but still have pretty good flex plus I'm doing a heavy duty ruf to pull the axle forward some more too

oh hell, sounds like you got it figured out. not havin air over water will save you a few inches as well. i think what your talkin about is for sure doable. should be sick.

Oh and were the v6 motor mounts close to where the 4bt mounts are after doing some measuring on mine the 4bt mounts are 1in in front of the center of my 22re frame mounts (roughly with 1in between head and firewall all measurements are roughly still since I'm still driving my truck)

i d k i think they were close. i just cut everything out and started new. got the motor set where i wanted. and made everything out beer boxes and layed everything out on plate and cut it out. the 4bt has tons of room in fact more then the original 6cyl. you could run a stock fan with the 4bt. infact thats what i recomend doing. stay away from electric. thats my only bitch about mine. some day i will change mine maybe leave the outside fan for good measure. they also sell some fancy liquid motor mounts for the 4bts that take alot of shake out. also find a harmonic balencer off a 6bt it will take alot of vibration out of the motor. probably find one for nothing if you look hard enough.

no the stock clutch fan will fit with about and inch to spare. i never had one so didnt use one i put electric on it. and i wish i would have just put one on. and left the outside electric on there just for back up. i have a pusher and a puller fan on there now both electric.

I believe its been said before, but yota of my dreams! If I ever get rich, or run into a good amount of money to blow, my yota will definitely be a Cummins. I can't begin to tell you how awesome that thing is. Excellent job

Thanks man. I'm gonna do a black hood this weekend. Gonna try a hood scope. Don't know how it will look so I don't want to ruin my hood..... So I bought another to see how it goes.

took some poser picks with the air lift under the front and rear makes it huge just getting the tires barley off the ground. had to rotate tires and this is the easiest way.....
