95 4Runner Window motors in a 98

I have a 98 4Runner SR5 and a buddy with a 95 4Runner SR5. He’s parting it out and I was wondering if the window motors from his 95 SR5 fit in my 98 SR5? I’m need to replace the rear passenger and the rear window motor.
Thank you!

I have put window motors from second gen 4Runners into my first gen 4Runner by simply splicing in the early type electrical connectors.
Of course, the left or right handedness of the application must be respected.
I have never examined the 3rd gen window motors as to compatibility with second gen parts.
Perhaps you might make this examination and tell us all something important.

I put 1992 Camry window motors in my 1987 4runner. They mounted right up, same bolt holes, but I did need to pull the terminals out of each connector so i could swap and plug into the door harness.
So it's possible the 1995 would fit a 1998. terminals in the connector may be a different size, though. If they do bolt up you might have to splice and solder,

Thank you! I just went ahead and ordered new ones lol. It was worth a try. It’s a whole parts truck for under 1000 but if none of the parts for then I’ll just have to pass.

Please take photos and report back. This kind of repair is interesting to many of the YotaTech members.
