Ok so new here to the group...
I have reciently purchased a 95 4runner with a 3.0 v6 auto trans....
Its got 126k on it with new heads and a rebuilt trans (i have the paperwork)
Prety excited about it!!!!
However i am having some issues....
First off i am getting a code 25 and 26...
Ive read some posts about this code and either no one ever seems to figure out the problem or they never follow up with the fix......
She idles fine allbeit a little rich when in park but when in gear she idles rough and seems to be lacking in the powerband....
I needed to replace the muffler so i did that and while i was down there pulled the cat to see if it was clogged.... it wasnt so i put it back on....
I understand these are referred to as the "3.slow" motor and im not lookin to get a ton of power out of her just looking to get her running right....
Having horriable gas millage and rough running conditions is killin me!!!
I just gave her a tune up and replaced most of the small vacume lines i could get to (man there are alot)...
I checked the afm and it seems to be within spec... however some one ahs been in there before and they drilled out what looks to be a plug over a screw and fiddled with it aswell....
I am a broke dad just lookin to make my runner the best and safest it can be for me and my lil girl....
I will be doing a exhaust crossover delete this weekend hopefully and have found another afm that i hope has jot been tamperd with at a local scrap yard for 20 bucks so im gettin that and maybe a few other parts?....
So i guess what im trying to say is HELP!!!!
