94 Speedo Help

I picked up a 94 4Runner, 22re, 5spd, 4wd. Since I got it the speedometer doesn't work. I've been trying to figure out if it's cable driven or a electronic speed sensor. Today I took out the instrument panel to have a look and there's no place for a cable, so I'm assuming it's a electronic speed senor.

Looking at the back on the transfer case you can see where I thought the cable threaded on to.

So I'm trying to figure out is what I need to get the speedometer working. What I think I need is one of these from Marlon Crawler to screw on:

Is this what I need to get the speedometer working?

yeah someone replaced ur trans with 91 or older. cable driven. the best bet would be to get one of them and put it on there, other wise u will have to find a electric one to put in yours and then plug it in,

Spend $100 and get a GPS. Keeps track of Avg speed, max speed, moving time, stopped time, total travel time, fuel mileage, distance traveled... Love my Garmin

x3. Garmin makes a great GPS. Much more accurate than most factory speedos & doesn't require calibration for different tire sizes~

gps isn't the solution, need to get the truck inspected to get it licensed on the road, so while the gps would tell me my speed, doesn't help me pass the inspection. I've ordered the part from Marlin Crawler, and it turns out it's the same part needed to run the speedo with the All Pro Transfer Case e-brake that I also ordered. Will post back to see how it works out.
