94 Pickup seat swap

Ok so this is my first build thread so bare with me. Last year I bought some 60/40 seats with a center console. They are out of a 03 S10 and I thought they looked good so what the heck. A couple weeks ago I want to the local U-Pull and found a same year 4runner and took home the carpet. Different color then the original but matches the seats..about 10 years ago my pops out some regular house carpet in it aand it looked nice for a while but quickly tore up.
I started taking out the seat and was amazed how dirty the floor was underneath my carpet.

94 Pickup seat swap

Didnt mean to post that one post, anyway. So I went ahead and cleaned as good as I could. I took panels off and it's crazy how much dirt and dust was underneath the dash, behind the globe compartment and whatnot.
I set the seats in and had to make a brace the help line up the outside hole. I used the seatbelt bolt hole to initially hold the seats in the spot I wanted and it was pretty perfect. The bench was held in by just the outside hole by the doors on the backside

This is the brace that I used. It was actually off the setbelt I took off the new seats.

I had the back of seats in and bolted down but no holes that lines up for the front brace on the seat. The brace hole on the door side only went about half way to the front of the seat itself. So I just drilled a hole in that spot and bolted her down..I figured 3 bolts was good enough. I thought I had a pick of the hole I made but I guess not.

Once I got the holes lined up i took the seats out and layed the carpet in and cut it to size.

I got everything in and I am pretty happy with everything..I sit higher, and it seems like I have a lot more room behind as well as leg room.

Now I have a question.

Any ideas on what I can used to fill the space where you can see the metal of the floor board. The carpet was out a 4 runner and the carpet was cut a little low..any ideas are welcome and hope you guys like my thread

You would really be amazed at how dirty the carpet is if you take it to a car wash and wash the carpet. All kinds of nasty stuff comes out of them.

To cover the bare spot, maybe you could find a console with a low profile to extend to it. Later this summer, I want to go to the bone yard and see if I can find a console out of some different models that might work for what I need. It may come out of a Honda, Ford or what I think will work.

Yea I thought about that. Instead I scrubbed the crap out of the carpet. The passenger side was dirtier than the drivers but I think that was due to the junk yard environment.

I was thinking the same. I dnt want anything flashy just something that looks semi normal.
