i bought a 94 toyota 4runner, and just blew the crud outta my tranny. basically the shop told me i had a good core. anyone know of a good used cheap transmission? my father inlaw needs his truck back, and im a one truck family right now

Craigslist is a good place to look but you could be buying another "good core" that or rebuilt.

 

we were at about 2000 for the rebuild. i know theres a good used or rebuilt out there cheaper than that. to boot the guy before me just threw a scrapyard tranny in. just glad it didnt go when we moved to illinoi fron florida

 

I am already replacing my engine and *knock on wood* hope the tranny holds for a couple more years. That said I am interested in this being answered also. Subscribed.
