94 4Runner build question (K8MNSTR)

I am getting ready to start building up my wife's 94 4Runner as it has a blown head gasket. It is time to dump the 3.0 for the 3.4, I will be doing a lot of reading on that swap. I am planning on getting rid of the automatic transmission to swap in a 5 speed, should I go to the 5 speed that comes with the 3.4 or an older 5 speed? When I do this swap, what will I need to mount the pedal assembly, or is it already there?

Does anyone know how to get the wiring harness kit that Off Road Solutions used to sell?

I can get 3/4 ton Chevy axles for free and I plan to swap them in, but I need to know if the stock brake master cylinders can handle this or if I need to upgrade? If I need to upgrade, what is my best option? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Brent

first off.....are you sure you're wife wants her 4runner to be SAS'ed with full widths???....and use the 3.4L 5spd..that way you can just swap everything out..might as well use the T-case if ya can???...idk if it drops on a different side or not though

or you can get a R150F tranny came in all 3.0 V6 5spds..lol

the transfers drop on different sides, so keep that in mind for axles/diff location and clearance to the exhaust. look into smog laws over there for getting it refereed before considering any of this.
Oh, and go dig up all that money you stuffed in the can in your back yard and clear a nice space in your garage to completely destroy, and tell your wife your going to be on yotatech (redneck myspace my ol lady calls it) for at least 8 hours a day for the next forever.

Good Times.

Yes, my wife is ok with this, in fact she is the one encouraging me. We purchased a 2004 WRX for her and she definately enjoys the turbo. The 4Runner will be the hunting/camping/lake rig when we get it finished and the second reliable snow vehicle as my RX8 doesn't handle snow too well.

I will keep that in mind when looking for a transmission and will have to look at the Suburban which is the donor rig to see which side I need the drop on. I already spend a fair amount of time on here so the wife shouldn't have too much of a problem and the coffee can has been dug up, working on clearing the garage out now, LOL.
