i just bought this 4runner that had been sitting for three months. i ran out the old gas and have since changed plugs, wires, air filter, and run through two tanks of premium gas with gumout additive. its still bogging down real hard during acceleration in low gears. it has that feeling like water in the gas system or that running out of gas feel. is this a fuel filter, timing, fuel injection problem? the distributor cap and rotor also appear fine. opinions?

 

Try a tank of just plain o' gas. Then check the timing. The fuel filter won't make too much difference, but if you think it's gone 60k miles or more it needs changed. The throttle body may need cleaned, but it might not help much(search SeaFoam).
