When I start my truck without touching the gas, my 1994 22re idles low (around 300 RPM) untill I rev it once, then runs perfect.

When it is cold, it idles up to 12-1400 RPM for a couple of minutes and then idles down correctly. It is only when warm, and I start it without touching the gas that it does this.

Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Mine used to do that until I replaced the air flow meter. It ran that way for 3 years, and I never gave it much thought. I personally wouldn't bother replacing it just because it does that. Maybe someone will chime in with a cheap way to fix it.

 

Maybe it's from all the bed liner! HAHA

Just kidding man.

Both 22res i have owned did that. It's annoying.
