Did you remove any timing belt covers? Each bolt-hole in the plastic cover is "lined" with a metal cylinder; the clamping force of the bolt is on the cylinder, not the plastic.

Since you didn't include any size reference in your photos, I may only be guessing. (That's why you have calipers -- measure it!)

...yea I was thinking timing cover or something like the air box that bolts to the inner fender.
