93 4runner suspension question
Hey guys I have a quick question about my 1993 3.0 4runner. First off its got a 5 inch lift but I'm having major squeaking problems. When I go over a bump, the front suspension squeaks like hell and its loud and embarrassing, I'm wondering if it might be a bad bushing but where.
Also when ever I turn my wheels I hear them squeak too, it sounds like its coming from behind the tire. Its not the normal low power steering squeal but a loud consistent squeak. It has plenty of fluid so I don't know whats making the noise.

The two squeaks could be related, since the steering geometry changes when you turn. I would get some silicone spray and start spraying bushings one at a time until I found the culprit. Upper control arm bushings and lower control arm bushings is where I would start. 2 bushings on each control arm for a total of 8 places to check.
It could also be your shocks squeaking as the rod travels in and out of the shock. Once again, some lube will temporarily relieve the squeak and let you know where it is.
Alternatively, you can just lube them all up and drive it till it needs more lube.
