93 4runner DIY Lift New Springs ect not full kit

I have a 93 4runner that is used to drive around town as well as on the trails in alaska. I don't want to dump a bunch of money in it as it has a lot of cancer. My question is what is the easiest and cheapest way to get a few more inches of height out of it. the rear is squatting bad as well. any advise would be great not sure i want to shell out the 800-1000 bucks on a suspension lift when i only paid a 1000 for the truck

Body lift. I had a 2" BL on my previous 4Runner, it cleared 33" tires no problem. Less than $200 if you install it yourself.

i have thought about body lift but was hoping to get a little more suspension out of it. like maybe put taller springs and new shocks in rear as it sags badly. but don't know what size is good or what to do with front. Just know i need more clearance and i would like to put 33x12.50 on it

There are plenty of affordable lift kits. You can check out the online catalogues of stores like rough country, jc whitney and tuff country for reference.

You could try a number of ways to try and get suspension but it really won't improve your suspension. Maybe a ZUK mod for the rear to level it out. But a body lift is probably your best bet for bigger tires. Maybe ball joint spacers up front and blocks in the rear. But that can be a lot of work depending on how rusted your front end it.

2nd gen runners have coils in the back.
OP get some land cruiser coils for the rear to fix the sag cheap. If your needing room for bigger tires cut the wheel wells open more, already said it had rust.

thank you all for the advise think i will look into the land cruiser springs to start then maybe a body lift for the bigger tires and cutting the fenders is definitely a option. and i wheel on the kenai penninsula.

Check out rattlewaggons build. He was running 35's? With no lift just cutting the fenders

Front: adjust height via t-bars, within reason so you don't put CVs at a bad operating angle. Free.
Rear: add taller coil springs - land cruiser is a popular swap. $50 on eBay.

new shocks of choice. You can do all of this for very little money.
