Just re did the heads, timing belt, valves etc on my 3VZE. Runs great with good power (12 deg BTDC timing) but at idle, standing outside it occasionally makes a loud snorking sound, sounding much like a kid slurping through a straw. Possibly and EGR issue? Pulling lots of air through the resonator attached to the air cleaner?

Any thoughts?

 

Do you have an aftermarket air intake? Or the original one with the silencer box?

 

All original, has the small appendix inboard from the filter.
