93 4 runner

Hey, I am looking to buy a 4 runner and I have a few questions. My boyfriend says that the 3.0 motor really isn't a motor I would want. I just wondered what everyones experience was with a 3.0 motor. The runner im looking at is a 93. Thanks!!

Most people have bad experiences with headgaskets going on those motors.

also, Around here its deemed the 3.Slow, because it has the power of a 4CYL and the MPG of an 8CYL...

If you do happen to find one with a blown HG, Take the vin to your local toyota dealership and ask if the HG recall has been done, If the say this or that about that recall not existing, call other dealerships...
They will replace the HG's free of charge, and you'll get a truck for fairly cheap.

The 4runners with the 22re (4cyl) arent quick by any means, but that motor has a somewhat better rep.

Good luck on your search for a new yota, and stick around once ya pick one up...
