So I get a call a couple weeks ago. "Dad, my truck died, starts but wont idle" I go pick it up. Sure enough dies at stops. Ck over & find nothin wrong. Adjust idle up, confirm timing ok. Here ya go son. 3 days later,same thing. Still see nothin wrong,adjust idle. This has happened 4 times. Ck vacuum lines, air intake boot & hoses. What the heck. Runs great for a few days after adjusting up. Anyone been here before?

 

Lot's of people been there. None have told the truth.

Always more to the story than simple idle issues.

 

check the o-ring on the air bypass screw?

 

that did enter my mind. even wondered if, & i thnk this would be a stretch, the cat may be clogging up

 

Well i been searchin & see other similar problems, but have seen no fix
