Hi friends,

I have replaced my steering column and power steering pump. but im still having the same problem. The power steering whines on and off, and it only works when turning LEFT.

Any ideas?? Im completely lost.

have you bled the box to get the air out?

 

Sounds like you need to bleed the system. You turn the wheel from full left to full right several times. I find it easier to raise the front end on a jack and stands to take the weight off of it. It takes several times to get the air out.

 

there is also a nipple on the box to let air out too but it gets every where in a hurry if you dont put some kind of hose on it.
