91 p-up manual hub conversion

91 p-up manual hub conversion .im going to change my auto hubs to manual.to do this do i just need to to replace the auto housing with a manual one or do i need to replace the long side axle shaft and housing with one from a truck with manual hubs as well as the hub housing

just need to go down to the axle shaft .. after you take the add plate off you bolt on the hub in its place.. really easy and you can do it with the wheel on if you want!!!

It is the ADD actuator. It activates a sleeve to disconect/connect one of the half shafts from the diff. That unhooks the driveline from the front diff.

In anycase, remove the 6 12mm (IIRC) bolts, cone washers (a brass drift works well) and the gold center nut. Pull off the flange, install the hub body, install cone washers and bolts, gold center bolt and install the hub top.

Provided these are Aisin manual hubs.

p.s on our trucks its called A.D.D, "auto hubs" are found on earlier models of trucks, they work very differently as the hub itself is what disconects everything.
