here are pics of my 1991 4runner that I am swapping out long blocks with; i have rebuilding the bottom end on another block i bought, cleaned it up, new bearings, rings, main, thrust, etc.


now for the tear down...the truck had 278K miles when it blew a head gasket turning automotive tricks...

- heads are being machined tomorrow; I have gasket matched and ported the intake side and ported and polished the exhaust side; hey may as well since I am in there

- I will also be gasket matching the lower/upper intake as well; there is def 2-3mm where it can be cleaned up for better flow; check out the rats nest!


2 of the injectors were broken. it looks like I can get remans for about $105 shipped; I also broke/cut/tore a few hoses but I plan on replacing many of them anyway

that's it for now; now inside on comp taking a break and looking for ways to remove cam pulleys and crank bolt...
