G'day all,

Picked up a new to me 90 4runner... Tailgate window didn't work (what a surprise). Done enough repairs on my 87/88 to know how to fix em... but this one's got me stumped for the moment...

Electrically - perfect - everything functions as it should...

Mechanically - here's where the problem lies, the tracks mounted to the glass - bottom lip is a solid hunk of rust it would seem... Basically the track for the roller is so filled up with rust/crud - the roller cant roll - window wont move... Of course it's stuck fully closed - so no real access to work on it.

Been attacking it with a small round file / various screwdrivers but after 3 hours lying in the back scratching away - not making much headway...

Any suggestions - I'm getting into the frustration range where breaking out the rear window sounds good But that just creates more problems...
