89 v6 3.0 rebuilt

89 v6 3.0 rebuilt
i have a 89 sr5 ext cab 4x4 yota pickup. it has the 3.0 in it and just now clicked 244k. the truck is almost like new inside an out. but i figure i will have to replace the engine or rebuilt
it soon. its fine now but i would rather fix it up now while i can incase it decides to blow up down the road sometime. my questions are 1. when do you guys think it will need to be replaced or rebuild now that it has 244k miles on it. what is the avarage life of the 3.00 if taken care of like i have mine? 2 how hard is it to rebuild? i have always worked on trucks but never rebuilt one .... 3 what is the average cost to pay simeone to rebuilt one?

Drive her till she dies.
IMHO they have a life of there own.
Keep the maintenance up to date and she shouldn't disappoint you.
As for cost to rebuild, I would say it depends on the shop.
Personally, I would just do the 3.4 swap when its time to rebuild.
