Don't be hatin...

Bout time a deal like this comes my way... I got rapped, hardcore, on ol' blue.

Much money and much time and headaches renders it almost completely perfect though. Will be for sale soon...

I thought you said "put the air intake back on and the radiator, it will run". Good deal BTW.

Oh it'll run, but it still has a bad tick. going to do a timing chain and a HG job right off the bat, and in the meantime, get Ol' Blue ready to sell.

Lucky bastard that buys that truck is walking in to a deal. I've replaced about everything, and fixed the rest. hahaha. and I got receipts to prove it.

Well, Wednesday it gets its new home.

The Plan: To sell ol' Blue and make this truck into the 1989 Standard Cab SR5 truck seen in the Toyota Ad.

it appears, tenatively, that Penn Tech, my college, will be able to paint the entire body for me. I am working out the details with a professor here in the coming days, but for now, fingers crossed, it looks good.

the truck will be stripped, fully and entirely, to the bare frame and suspension. I will remove ALL pieces from the body, interior and exterior, and the truck will receive paint in a bare bones fashion. (Like a factory spray job, so even the insides of the doors will be painted black) The truck will recieve my full SR5 swap treatment, which will include bucket seats and a center consul. a little custom wiring upon reassembly will be in order, as I will be adding power options, cruise control, and checking into the A/C as well.

IF all goes according to plan, this truck will be like brand new. I'll have a thread if it happens. and watch, again if all goes to plan, for a supra swap over the summer.

but, for now, I NEED to sell my truck. I am OUT of money, literally.

here's the run down:
1990 Toyota Pickup Xtra Cab 3.0 V6 Auto
Deluxe trim
has cruise control, A/C, cd player, trip meter, and a semi rare split bench with SR5 cloth. interior and exterior are CLEAN!!

Comes with Westin side steps, a choice between two tool boxes, and a Lund Moon Visor.

Truck rides on SR5 4 spokes with 31x10.50 tires. at least 80 percent tread left.

I've replaced/repaired all the following since buying it last April:
Denso alternator
starter
timing belt
transmission flush
various front end suspension
new-to-me rear end with like new brakes
new-to-me power steering gear box

a bunch of others, I got all the receipts to prove it. I'll list the rest sometime tonight.

Truck runs STRONG and has been very reliable aside from the parts I had to replace. transfer case and 4x4 work flawlessly, and has Aisin manual hubs already swapped on.

Pic from this summer can be seen here: Clicky

I'll get new pics real soon here.

Buy it! That thing is atleast 5 times nicer than my truck, and I payed $800 for mine. Around here, that truck would go for $2-3k probably.

well, I got it home.

Change of plans though. The paint and body work end of the deal fell through, so mechanical goodies first.

as soon as Old Blue is sold (soon ready for sale!!), this truck is to receive the following:

7M-GTE swap
4.56 Gears (want some type of locker/LSD, any opinions? Cost is sort of a factor)
31x10.50 Sport King Steel Radials
American Racing OutLaw II rims, 15x8 (ANYONE that has a steel/chrome version of this rim, PM me, I have a bent one I need to replace!!)
Probably my interior Deluxe to SR5 swap
Roll bar and a fair bit of auxiliary lighting

Stay tuned

and feed back on any ideas or any of your own is more than welcome at this time!!!

and though I really like black paint, I may just get this body patched up and stick with the red. new clear coat and minor body work would probably be within my budget...

so, Im gonna keep both my trucks now. I found a buyer for the 22RE in it.

I'm now looking to sell the body lift, and some misc. 22RE parts if anyone is interested.

BL will include the welded shifters, I don't want to have to fool with those...
