My 89' SR5 Pickup will not start, after reading around it sounds like it's the contacts in the starter to me. I would like to change them out but the dealer is trying to charge way too much for just the contacts. Anyone know where I can get contacts at a decent price in the Portland area?

 

Look up a starter and alternator rebuild shop in your area, there must be at least one around there somewhere. I got all the parts (both contacts and 2 nuts, 2 bolts) at my local rebuilder for under $5.00...

I have been to this website, I would gladly order them if I know I can get them by this weekend and if I knew which contacts I need. I don't have access to my truck to simply measure until the weekend but I need to have the parts by then to get it fixed.
