89 4Runner Check-up

I just bought my first 4Runner and it has 178k miles on the original 22RE. Oil was changed regularly and it has a new clutch with 50 miles on it. Aside from that, I have no idea what this guy has replaced or maintained. The timing chain broke on it and it has been sitting for 4 years. I am about half way into getting the head off to send to a shop to see what the damages are. My question is, with that many miles should I be concerned with any of the block internals or should I be good to go just rebuilding the head? He said it didn't burn oil or make any weird sounds prior to the chain failure. Also, what are some standard items I should be replacing while I'm fixing this timing chain issue? I assume that since it has been sitting for so long I will need a new fuel filter at least and I plan on doing a tune-up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, valve adjustment) and all fluids flushed.

Thanks for any help! I'm new to the 22RE!

(He had started to take some stuff apart and I have a few things that I don't know where they go or what they are so I may be posting pics and asking for help there too!)

Replace the timing chain cover, the water pump and the oil pump, both of these bolt onto the timing chain cover, so its easy to do while everything is a part. also drain the gas tank, there is a plug on the bottom of the tank, and add some fresh gas.

Do you think I will need new fuel line or anything like that or will the fuel filter and gas change be enough? Check on the water and oil pumps! Anything else these trucks are known for needing replaced that I should look into? Thanks again!

Well I got the head off and I thought everything was going to be great and I was just going to have to clean things up.

That is until I took out the cam and found this:

I guess all that scoring in the cam journal means I have head warping or some other horrible problem that will take some serious machining/rebuilding of my cylinder head. Spoke with the guys at engnbldr and it looks like I'll be getting a new head. I'll let you guys know how the rebuild goes and whether or not I can get this thing to turn over!
