88 toyota pickup problems need some help

88 toyota pickup problems need some help

My 88 toyota is a v6 3.0 and whenI got it it had a fuel pump problem fixed the fuel pump and the truck starts and Idols fine but it will not pull 2wd or 4 high not enough power but will pull 4 low in first gear only truck had been sitting for rufly a year before I got it. if the wether is not raining when I get home I am going to do a compresion test what is the lowest the compresion should be about 120 ?

been sitting a year? first drain the fuel from the tank (dispose of properly ), add a pint of isopropyl alcohol (denatured rubbing alcohol) and as much gas as you can... to dilute any moisture in the tank and remove as much bad fuel as possible.
then set the timing properly and see how it goes.

The fuel was the first thing that I changed I put my hand thru the hole were the fuel pump is with a rag full of orange fuel. next I thought it might have been the fuel filter it was full of the same stuff let it drain out.

with there being no O2 sencor on the exaust could that be a the cause
