'88 runner- sluggish after periods of rain

Guys.
My 88 is starting run like crap when there is high humidity or after periods of rain. It starts fine and idles fine. First is smooth but usually once in second there is power loss and she starts running rough. Once i finally make it up to a high idle in second it's like she crests a hill and boom,, power is back until i shift into 3rd then it repeats the process.
Hoping one of you lads can point me in the direction of old wires or something like that.
The truck runs normal on clear dry days so obviously she is getting wet somewhere
Thanks lads.
Dwayne

Same problem

I'm having the same problem. Have you resolved your problem? Do a search for the thread "engine running bad after rain" to see my thread.

Cover your cap n rotor in a big azz ziplock bag. My old Mitzu, 2x pickup did that.
