88' 4runner timing chain

Today my 4runner suddenly had bad timing after reversing. After i timed it, the distributor can't turn anymore. I didn't check the tdc yet, but im pretty sure the chain jumped. Is there an easy way of resetting the chain back to center?. Or do I have to take the front all apart?

If it jumped once what makes you think it won't jump again??? I doubt that it did jump a tooth. You do need to check the crank keyway and the cam sprocket dot to know for sure.

What did reversing do that moving forward doesn't do???

First thing, verify that crank to cam timing are still correct. We can go from there.

K, I checked tdc and cam sprocket and distributor lined up. I checked the timing again and it is still under 0.
