Yea I hear u bro. Bumpers are gonna be the last thing on my list to buy. Gotta get all the important stuff out of the way first before I work on the cosmetics of the truck. Ya know. I mean for now I'm fine with the bumper addition I have on it for now so its cool.

BTW, remember, ...if you go 'body lift', you'll need to finagle the bumper through 'THE GAP', hahaha.

 

Oh no I don't plan on grabbing a body lift. I don't like them. Suspension/leafs all the way!

I'm not a hater of them, I understand they have their purpose/within reason, ...... I just draw the line at 5" body lift with 12" lift type stuff! hahaha.

BTW, you going 4" springs or 5" springs, Richard?(one gives 3" lift the other 4") If I ever do it, I'm keeping her 'down' as low as this kit will allow.. Which still isn't technically "LOW", but you know what I mean, hahaha.

 

I'm sticking with 4" lift springs. Or so I was sold thats what they are for the front & rear. So I guess I'm getting 3" of lift. I don't mind that's good enough for me. so long as it looks kick a$$ and still fits in my works parking garage then cool. (gotta try to keep it under 6'8" but if not oh well.)

I don't care to much on them. But... If I was ever to get one I would only do 1-2 inches preferably 1" and only for bigger tire purposes. I just really don't like the look on trucks with the gaps on the bumpers when people install body lifts.

I'm thinking of sticking with that too rather then buying 2 sets of 4.88s with lockers ya know. Since I already have one set of 5.29's in the SFA. I only need one set for the back.

 

Hey what size tires you run and with what motor? My 33s are still good so im not getting 35s yet but I wanna do the gears soon but I'm not sure if 33s with 5.29s will suck

 

ATM i am using 31's because thats all that fits lol. but when i do my SAS I will be rollin' with some 33's at least till they wear out(bought them used). But The plan has always been to run 35's. If you dont plan to go higher then 33's you should go 4.88 because those are the gears that are supposed to go for that size tire; and you can always push 35's with 4.88's if you choose to ever go there. My 2 crazy toyota off road buddies use 4.88's with both 33's and 35's.
If i had the money i would just go 4.88's myself. but considering i have 1 set in the front already. im just gonna stick to 5.29s and then ill be able to rock some 35" tires with no problem.

Nice! Would like to install turn signals on fender behind wheel well (like the European vehicles have). I wonder if these turn signals would work. May I know what brand-model the turn signals are? Are they about 3 inches wide? (based on bumper tube diameter)

@ Islander- the bumper was built by a guy who makes stuff out of chino, Ca. If you want I can give you his number and name. the only thing is he welds the bumper on so if youre not down with that I wouldnt go to him but other than that he'll build whatever you want pretty much if he can do it.

Hmm I'm wondering if he'd be able to pull off welding together that CBI bumper that I posted on my thread recently. It's a bumper kit but you gotta weld it together yourself.

I might really consider him. At least for those CBI front and rear bumper kits. Because they look really awesome. and Im also gonna be needing Sliders and eventually an internal roll cage.
