88 3vze: need diameter and pitch of threaded holes on the side of the head

I have an '88 Toyota 4x4 with the 3VZE engine. Ten years ago I had the heads replaced. When they swapped the heads, several bolts and a stud did not make it. The engine hoist hooks also disappeared. I can't really complain. I hadn't noticed until I needed to lift the engine to replace the clutch (it's been 15 years since that happened last).

That's the background, and now the climax

There appear to be two sizes of holes on the side of the head. The larger, approximately M10, is where the engine hooks are mounted. The stud I mentioned also goes into one of these holes, and passes through the front of the passenger side engine hook and also the power steering bracket. The smaller, approximately M8, is where some bracket bolts on under the passenger side of the intake manifold.

I'd like to know the diameter and pitch for both of these holes. I need to buy the hardware to fill them, but I would also like to chase them with a tap to clean them out and make life easy.

If anyone knows this information, I would be very grateful to learn it. In my experience, I've learned not to force threads.

I can take pictures after the sun comes up if necessary, but it looks like all the holes on the side are one of these two sizes, I just can't find them written anywhere. Someone has to know. The next step is to pull bolts to check firsthand, but if I do it at home, I might not get it to drive to the hardware store, and if I do it at the hardware store, I might not get it to drive home.

Thank you all in advance.

Standard "coarse" metric, 10-1.50 and 12-1.75. (The length I don't know, but presumably you have a caliper with a depth gauge.)

Instead of a tap, consider a "thread restorer" set. If you have an Autozone, you can borrow it: http://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tools...et/391372_0_0/ RustyPigeon turned me onto that, https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116.../#post52274086, and I found I used the set on almost every fastener!
