88 22re engine cuts out

i have been fighting with this for a long time now and its at the point where the truck can not be drivin. truck starts right up, idles just fine, if you very slowly press the gas it will rev up will about half throttle where is cuts out (does not die) just bogs down and sounds like it is about to die. if you push the throttle with any normal driving amount of force it cuts out at about 25% throttle and stays that way all the way to full throttle. so basically i can drive with almost no power not very fun. new fuel pump a couple weeks ago, throttle position sensor is good, ecu is good, fuel pump is getting proper power all the time. new fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. new maf 2 weeks ago but i pulled it out to test (as i have killed a couple before) and am not sure what to think of the test. it is supposed to ohm between 20-1000 from no throttle to full. from about 20% in to full throttle it jumps all over the place, it never goes under 20 or over 1000 but it jumps from 300s to 700s all the way through it does not go up with the flap being opened much at all. at full open it reads around 250. the test from 4crawlers said that you should only be looking for it to go out of 20-1000 but this seems odd to me. not sure what to do now, thats my problem please help

there is a trick to move the MAF arm to a new path on the resistance track to save $$$. But that might not be your problem.

Do the distributor resistance checks per FSM.. I hear RichPorter brand has the correct values listed in the FSM if it fails.

I always do the cleaning thing first for weird problems. Cleanliness in next to godliness and your whole problem may be just dirt, varnish, or tar.

Try a bottle of cataclean. I ran two through my sons Ford Escort and got it running correctly again. it was chugging and sounds something like yours. Throw some seafoam at it as well. Cleaning is cheaper than replacing parts that may not be broken.
