87 vs 83 22r Igniter compatibility question
Hey fellas, anyone know if the igniter assembly off a 83 22r part number 89620-35H93 will work on my 87 22r pickup with currently broken igniter assembly part number 89620-35140? They look the same and I found a new replacement for an 83 but the differing part numbers are concerning. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Toyota says "no," 89620-35140 fits vehicles back to 1984 only. http://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/__...962035140.html
