87 cab and bed swap to 82 frame????

87 cab and bed swap to 82 frame????
any one know if a 1987 body and bed will bolt onto a 1982 frame? they are both standard cab short beds. cuz i have a rolling 82 straight axel frame and a 1987 parts truck just wanted to swap it over instead of buying sas kit...thats my thery so far. please let me know if you have any knowledge about this
